The Whiting Lane Wizards raised around $3,000 for the Autism walk that took place on June 6th! We were announced as one of the top three schools to raise money. Thanks to all who came, walked, and donated! This year’s walk had the largest turnout for walkers– approximately 8,500 people were there. The rain held out too, so we stayed dry…GO TEAM!

“Autism is a spectrum disorder, which means it manifests itself in many different forms. A diagnosis can range from mild to severe, and though children who have it (i.e. are on the spectrum) are likely to exhibit similar traits, they’re also as individual as the colors of a rainbow, each one managing a grab bag of symptoms. ” (from AutismSpeaks.org)
