Story Planning

Interested in producing a video? You don’t have to be in the Video Team to make videos. Anyone – anyone at all can produce a Be The Media video. Yes, that means you. If you are a Whiting Lane staff member, student, parent, or sibling, you can come to the library at Whiting Lane and check out a Flip camera. Bring it back to the library and Jan Bos, WHC-TV’s Technology Outreach Coordinator, will help you put a story together.

You can download the Be The Media Instructional Guide here. You can also find more resources on the Be The Media section of WHC-TV’s website at the following address:
http://www.whctv.org/bethemedia

Also, check out the Toolkit from our presentation at the 2010 Northeast Media Literacy Conference.

Flip cameras are also available at all of West Hartford’s libraries and can be checked out for a week at a time.
