Whiting Lane Library – Where we wonder and grow!

Mrs. Gluck has been a Library Media Specialist for 3 years.  In her last job, she was a grade 5 teacher at Wolcott Elementary School in West Hartford where she worked with the community to create the Wolcott Children’s Forest.  This is a five acre tract of land with a 100-seat amphitheater, pond, forest, and meadow ecosystems that is used to teach all aspects of the curriculum at Wolcott Elementary.  Mrs. Gluck’s present project is Bringing Back the Greenhouse to Whiting Lane Elementary School.   Mrs. Gluck loves books and studying and teaching about nature!  One of her favorite authors is Jean Craighead George who writes great stories about animals.  

Mrs. Gluck has a husband named Dan and three children – Rosie, Danny and Hannah.    A Cocker Spaniel named Taz and a Shih Tzu named Peanut are the finishing touches on her family.
