How does the drowning of an African American boy lead to a riot in Chicago in 1919?
Some people argue that no war is a good war. In this short unit, you will decide whether African American participation in World War I had positive effects on the Africa American community. 370,000 African American men served in the armed forces. One quarter fought in Europe. The French treated them as equals, inviting them into their restaurants, clubs, hotels, and houses.
You will find out enough about the person to provide a blurb to read on the notices during Black History month.
