Choose one of the following African American leaders, events and find out why they were famous. Write a 100-word description that you will read over the morning announcements.
Each of these people was photographed by the Scurlock studio in Washington D.C. We will have 6 reproductions of these photographs at Conard. We will also offer your paragraphs for the tables at the Jazz dinner and concert on February 6 at Conard. Mr. George Scurlock, the grandson of Addison Scurlock, who lives in West Hartford, will come to speak to our class as well.
