United States History Through the African American Experience will take you on an intellectual and emotional journey from slavery through the civil rights movement to the presidency of Barack Obama.  You will be asked to be an active learner as you make connections with the material presented and your lives.

This course will challenge what you accept as fact and will ask you to evaluate information and draw conclusions about information on our journey to define equality and justice in the United States.
