For nearly three centuries, debates about topic relevant to why and for what purpose classical composers wrote for have shown some interest. There have been several composers in history who have written music for very interesting purposes, some for wealth, others for glory, and a few others even just for fun. For example, Mozart spent much of his time composing for royalty, to soothe the king and his family. On a complete contrast, Beethoven wrote music for himself and argued in court he had the right to do so. Composers like Beethoven wrote music in a time period of revolution of which spread over Europe. Composers like Mozart were not accustomed to writing for themselves but for the pleasure of others. As a result of people obsessed with finding out what drove comosers, much more debate has occurred with this topic than one or two centuries ago.
