About Mrs. Hunt
I started my career with a degree in theater and education from Eastern Washington State University. During the 70′s, yes way back then, I traveled to Europe on a USO tour and later became a founding member of a theater company called Earthlife. We wrote and performed our own plays. I married one of the actors and we moved on to join a touring company called the Tears of Joy. We learned the art of puppetry and toured the western states performing a repertoire of three plays; Alice in Wonderland, Sungura the Hare and The Black Heart of Indri.
I continued to teach off and on to supplement our income as we began to raise our family. I taught English and eventually English as a Second Language at the college level. We moved to CT in the late 80′s. I continued to work with my husbands touring company and teach part time until I stumbled upon an amazing new field. A Master’s Degree in Education with a special focus on gifted and talented learners has kept me intellectually stimulated and employed for the past 15 years. Each year, I am amazed with the unique projects my students create. With a program that focuses on interest based, non-graded, high level products the sky is the limit. I love my job.
