Okay. I just finished Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheniox. It was the best book of the whole series! It is about a boy named Harry Potter who goes to a school called Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wisardry. It is also about the school and how the Minister of Magic (the president of the magical people) sends an evil woman (that is in LOVE with pink) to destroy the evil teachers in Hogwarts. This series is a definite read!

I have read Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Last Straw. It’s a really funny book. It starts as Greg writing his New Year’s Resolution but he thinks that he’s 1 of the best person he knows & so he decides to try to make other peoples’ life a little better such as his brother Rodrick and Mannys’. I think it’s a really good book for people who like funny book. And it sort of look like my owl life experience cause my younger brother keeps bothering me like Rodrick.

I finished The Hunger Games and it was awesome! It’s about a girl and a boy who get chosen to compete in the Hunger Games until there’s one person left. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves suspense and action.

I just read the Truth about Forever by Sarah Dessen. It was a great realistic fiction book about Macy, the main character’s, summer. Her boyfriend, Jason has gone away for “Brain Camp” and she is left with no friends for the summer working at the library. Macy’s dad has recently past away so it is only Macy, her mom and Macy’s sister, Caroline. Macy starts working at Wish, a catering company, for extra money. She makes unexpected friends and meets Wes, who has got her confused about her “love” for Jason. Read The Truth about Forever to find out what happens to Macy and her friends.

I read a nutmeg book Drita my homegirl. It is not a book and I was able to finish it in 3 days. It is about a girl named Drita who just moved to US from Kosova. She doesn’t understand any English but her teacher and her friend Maxie helps her understand it so it won’t be hard for to do well in school. I liked it alot.

I read The Lightning Thief and it was amazing. It’s about a boy who is a demigod and he has to do a quest before the summer solstice. There’s obstacles along the way and he has to save someone. I would recommend this book to someone who enjoys suspense and action. If you enjoy this book, this is only the first one, there are three others: The Sea of Monsters, The Titan’s Curse, and The Last Olympian.

The Year of the Dog is such a nice book because it teaches you a lot about the chinese festivals. I think that the book The Year of The Dog taught me a lot because I never knew that certain foods meant rich and wealth. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to learn a lot about the chinese new year. I think that Grace Lin is a amazing author. By, Veenu Kumar

The book I read was Aquamarine by Alice Hoffman. The part I liked the most was when the mermaid turned into a human. Also, when one of the girls turned a sweater into a dress by tearing it to shreds. In my opinion I would recommend this book to girls that like fantasy.
