Wizard of Oz Auditions
Here are the practice tracks for the Wizard of Oz auditions. You will be auditioning a capella, so be sure to spend some time practicing it without the practice track.

Thank you! I like to sing, and the practice tracks will help! I really want to be in the play this year, and I want to be Wicked Witch of the West! (Eeehee-hee!!! That is my evil witch laugh!!)

Ok, so I was practicing “If I Only Had a Brain” and my dad in the next room started singing along. It was a little weird… but oh well, at least he likes my singing!

I’m not really much of a performer, but I’m trying. I think my sister is more excited about me trying at than I am. She’s trying to give me three years worth of vocal lessons in one week.

I say go for it! The best advice is to be prepared–know the audition song really well. You can’t really prepare for the cold reading, but be sure to try and inject personality into your reading. And the dancing– just do the best you can.

I was taught the wrong way from my choir teacher last year. I have been practicing ever since I realized that tomorrow was my auditions and I have been practicing the RIGHT way and now that I have it down it is stuck in my head. Well hopefully it will be stuck in my head when I have to sing in my auditions!

Can you possibly put the call back song on the blog please or not… it’s okay if you don’t

It is on the blog–look on the top of the webpage, and click on “Wizard of Oz”– look for King of the Forest there.
