Who’s got some creativity to write something intriguing, funny, or otherwise delightful based on your response to the image that is at the link below? Enter the contest by writing a short piece of fiction or non-fiction (poetry or a paragraph). Prompt: Go to this link and generate your own Serendipitous Simile. You will see more directions on the site, but basically you will click two buttons to generate a simile, and then you will write a short piece based on that. When I clicked it, the site generated the simile in the picture below: “Her hate is like a birdcage.”

Using your visual from your New Orleans jazz metaphor (from music) or your cell analogy project (from science), write a metaphor poem or explanatory paragraph.
