Did you like the Percy Jackson series? If so, I think you would love The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan. There are three main characters, Jason, Piper, and Leo in the story. Jason has lost his memory and doesn’t know where he is. Piper thinks that Jason is joking about having amnesia, and then she realizes that he is not lying. Leo thinks Jason is joking about having amnesia and doesn’t realize that Jason is not teasing. When the children go on a field trip they are attacked by storm spirits. The storm spirits are monsters that can fly and are seeking to destroy the children. This girl on a flying chariot comes and rescues Jason, Piper, and Leo. She takes the kids transports them to Camp Half-Blood. No one knows what the children are doing there. Who is the lost hero? Who is this girl? What are the children doing in Camp-Half Blood? Read The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan to find out the answers to all of these questions.

A great book that I finished recently was Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. This is in the paranormal romance genre (my favorite kind!) But it’s about a boy named Ethan Wate, who has lived in the small southern town of Gatlin, S.C. for his whole life. But he’s been haunted by these dreams recently, filled with this beautiful girl that he’s never met and when he wakes up, the dreams seem real. For example if he and the “mystery girl” were drowning in the ocean, Ethan would wake up wet. It’s weird because he always closes his window at night, but it’s open in the morning. But everything about the girl being mysterious changes when Lena Duchannes moves to Gatlin. She’s unlike anyone in the small town, and is hiding her Caster(Witch) powers and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. This book was fantastic and had some great visuals as well, with 3 full family trees of the Wates, Duchannes’, and Ravenwood familes.
