Monday May 21st

Latin classes: QUIZ WEDNESDAY on Stage 15 vocab checklist and “word study” (pp 69 – 70 new books, today’s handout period 5);  also on derivatives done in class (see page above, thanks Matt!).

Tonight’s homework: relative pronoun practise sheets, pers 4 and 7 Latin side, period 5 half of Latin side and any 10 on English side.

Wednesday May 16th

HWK: period 4, exercise C page 63, in rough; period 5, boat race worksheet, S|TART AT BOTTOM RIGHT;  period 7, read pp 64-67 and write 5 T/F questions for the class.

Tuesday May 15th

Homework: period 4, read the cultural section from Stage 15, pp 64 -67, and write 5 True/False questions for the class; periods 5 and 7, look at your grade and make up missing work.

For those missing the essay, the assignment was:

Re-read the culture sections at the end of stages 13 and 14 and write EITHER a letter from Rufilla to her friends in Rome OR a conversation among a group of British slaves.

Three paragraphs, about 300 words, DON”T COPY CHUNKS OUT OF THE TEXT, but do show you’ve read it, incorporate details, be creative.

Monday May 14th

Latin hwk: period 4 finish reading ad aulam and write a 3-sentence summary; period 5, translate lines 33-45 pages 46 -47 (in rough);  period 7, translate lines 28 -40 pages 54 -55.

Français: rien si vous étiez en classe aujourd’hui.

Thursday May 10th

Latin: stages 13 and 14 test tomorrow, no surprise there I hope as we’ve been preparing for it all week….Just like today’s practice test, but longer.  GOOD NEWS: you may bring in to the test a CHART of the declension endings – just like the one on the back of the adjectives quiz (but not that one! can’t look at your quiz! copy it out again – it will help you learn it).   Tell your friends.

Monday May 7th

Latin period 4: GO TO E119 TOMORROW!    A212 is closed for AP exam.  Tell the others!  Homework: none except to review for stages 13-14 test THURSDAY.

Latin period 5: GO TO E131 TOMORROW!   A211 is closed for AP exam.  Tell the others!  Homework: finish translation of tripodes argentei – to hand in for grade.

Latin period 7, no room change for you!  Homework: exercises A & B p 49.

 

Wednesday May 2nd

Latin, pers 4 & 7: read  Quintus Advenit p 39 and answer questions at bottom of page; per. 5, finish reading in tablino p.30 and be ready to tell me the ending (participation!)

Français, finir toutes questions sur Cocteau.  Merci Jesse et Rose pour ce soir! et casse-toi la jambe, Katherine, cet aprèm!

Latin hwk: prepare for QUIZ on adjectives tomorrow – with extras credit for filling in CHART (see Noun Declensions page above, thanks Matt!)

Français, lisez le monologue de Cocteau et répondez à TOUTES les questions, pour JEUDI (je les ai regardées de plus près et elle ne sont pas ni très longues ni très difficiles).  ET quiz oral, demain ou après demain.  ET envoyez -moi les projets.

Monday April 30th

Latin homework: periods 4 and 7, read in tablino pages 36- 37 (or online) and write out answers to Questions on page 37 – to HAND IN for grade tomorrow.  Period 5, read Rufilla cubiculum ornat page 28 and write a three-sentence summary.

Français: préparez pour quiz oral sur les pronoms (REPONSES CI-DESSUS^! pratiquez!), finissez le projet ecrivain et ENVOYEZ-le moi si pas fait.

Thursday April 26th

Latin for tomorrow: #2 pencil (sharpened), brain (ditto)

Français: quiz oral, réponses sur page ci-dessus….say them ALOUD a lot
