    Tommy,

    Hello,
    You can go right to the main page and look down for posts addressed to Teams 1 and 3 or you can click the “Fundamentals of Algebra II” Category right on this page and find links related to what you are doing right now. A direct link is right here.

    Thanks,
    Mrs. Corricelli

  5. tommy says:

    when will we be receiving a mid-term review packet?

    The plan is to give you the packet on the day we take our final quiz before the midterm; so Tuesday, 1/11.

    Thanks,

    I found this helpful for our what are quadratic equations and how are they useful homework- it says how they apply to the real world.

  8. Schuyler says:

    I think it’s a little late to ask questions about my homework but I forgot about the packet that you gave us and I need to do it so I do decent on tomorrows quiz but I don’t understand how to do the last problem in the packet.
    y = 2x² + 4x – 8
    When finding the y-Coordinate of the vertex you went from..
    y = 2(-1)² + 4(-1) – 8 to… 2(1) – 4 – 8 and I don’t understand..

  9. corricelli says:

    Hello Schuyler –

    I wanted to make sure I answered this even if I could not get it in time for your quiz. We will be reviewing some of these concepts next week, so it is not too late!

    Anyhow,
    2(-1)² + 4(-1) – 8 becomes 2(1) – 4 – 8 because (-1)² is 1 and because 4(-1) is -4.

    Hope this helps for next Friday’s quiz!

    Enjoy your weekend,
    Mrs. Corricelli
