Pythagoras was a mathematician. Pythagoras is a person who developed the Pythagorean theorem aka Geometry. He lived from 569 BC to 475 BC in Samos, Ionia. Pythagoras was know for leading a matematical group called mathematikoi. He taught him his teachings and knowledge of the understanding of math, music, and philosophy. In all Pythagoras was mostly known for his studies of properties of numbers; even and odd numbers, triangle number, perfect numbers, etc. He now survives mostly through the pythagorena theorem today .

He was a math expert in Greece who invented the Pythagorean Theorem, which is a formula that calculates a third side of a triangle and was in a group of like minded mathematicians.
