In the turtle and the hare lab, the turtle started 5 feet past the starting line at 0 seconds, while the hare started at 0 feet at 0 seconds. the turtle runs 0.5 feet every 5 seconds, while the hare runs 1 foot ever 5 seconds. At what time will the hare finally reach the turtle?
answer: 50 seconds
i eventually knew that the hare would surpass the turle because no matter how much of a headstart the turtle has the hares going to catch up. Because the tutle moves 5 feet each 10 seconds and the hare moves double that.
the turtle started 5 feet aheead of the hare at 0 seconds . Eventually the hare caught up to the turtle at 50 seconds and passed it .
for every 10 seconds the turtle would move 1 feet which was 1 tile and the hare moved 2 feet which was 2 tiles
