Hello,
Here is a link to the file handed out in class to help you to get ready for your upcoming midterm exam: Midterm Exam Review
Use this spot to work together to study!
Happy studying,
Mrs. Corricelli

Hi Mrs. Corricelli,
I was wondering if you can tell me the steps for linear regression? I can’t find any good notes on the steps in my notebook.
Hello Meghan,
Most of this was done in-class. Directions would have been on the worksheets. I searched this and got: http://www.occc.edu/college_algebra/LinReg.pdf
General steps are: 1. enter data in lists (STAT Edit), 2. Turn DiagnosticOn (2nd CATALOG), 3. calculate regression (STAT Calc) and remember L1, L2, Y1 after Regression Choice, 4. Set Window, 5. Press Graph to see the picture, 6. Press 2nd TRACE to perform calculations like getting the zeros (x-intercepts), vertex (for quadratic regression, max or min), or intersect (to get the crossing points of different regression lines).
Check out the link, though, it goes into lots of detail. See if you can use the graphing calculators on the main screen to practice.
Hope this helps!
Mrs. Corricelli
Thanks Mrs. Corrcelli! I have one more question. Do we have to know how to graph absolute values or just solving them?
Meghan,
No graphing; just using function notation to substitute into them and find f(x), as was done in class.
You do need to know range and domain of absolute values.
Hope this helps,
Mrs. Corricelli
