Bristow Middle School Student Council

Thank you to all of the members who attended our meeting on January 7th. We were able to set a date for our very first Bristow Spirit Day. Also we were able to put up some advertisements for the Pennies for Patients fundraiser which will begin next monday. January and February will be busy months please check the blog regularly for updates. Our next meeting will be on Thursday, January 14, in Mrs. Droney’s room. See you there!

The next meeting of the Bristow Student Council will be Thursday, January 7, at 7:15AM in Room 325. If you are unable to attend please see Mrs. Droney or Mr. Jarboe

At today’s student council meeting the members voted to change the meeting schedule for the Student Council. Beginning after our next meeting the Bristow Student Council will meet EVERY Thursday before school. Unless otherwise told student council member should expect to be at school by 7:15 for the weekly student council meeting.

We had a great meeting today.
Some of the highlights of today’s meeting include:

• Reviewed the Loaves and Fishes blanket project that the student’s recently completed
• Discussed the January Spirit Day and set a meeting date for the Spirit Committee to plan January’s Spirit Day activity
• Set a meeting date for the Community Service committee to meet regarding the upcoming Pennies for Patients fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma society
• Discussed the idea of setting up a Student Council bulletin board in the cafeteria.

It was a busy meeting and we were able to get a lot done.

Our next meeting will be on Thursday, January 7, 2010.
