John DeNardi, Security Officer

Mr. DiNardi retired from the Newington Police Department on January 1, 2004.  He was a certified police officer in the State of Connecticut for 27 years, having spent the last 20 years in Newington.  Prior to that he was employed as a police officer for the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC).  Mr. DiNardi served his last years in Newington as its first Community Service Officer. He was also a D.A.R.E. classroom instructor for Newington Public Schools during the years 1990-1997.  Mr. DiNardi also served with the Newington S.W.A.T. team as a crisis negotiator from 1992-2004.

 

 

Mr. DiNardi enjoyed his many years in law enforcement and interacting with the community.  He has been employed by WHPS since September 1, 2004 and has spent time at Hall and Conard High Schools in addition to Sedgwick and King Philip Middle Schools.  He has been at Bristow Middle School since it opened in September 2005.  Mr. and Mrs. DiNardi are the parents of three grown children.  They enjoy their free time at their summer home in South Lyme, Connecticut.
