Be Like Brit
This is an update on a previous post from September. For those of you who know Ms. Gengel at Sedgwick, she shared the news that an orphanage will be dedicated to the memory of her niece. Read more about the orphanage and Brit at the web site.
This website was inspired by the generous spirit and life of Britney Gengel who was a victim of the earthquake in Haiti. Fom the website: Britney found her life’s calling in Haiti, texting her mother Cherylann only three hours before the earthquake saying “They love us so much and everyone is so happy. They love what they have and they work so hard to get nowhere, yet they are all so appreciative. I want to move here and start an orphanage myself.” Accordingly, the Be Like Brit Foundation has been established to honor Brit’s life, legacy, and final vision, and plans are already underway to build a safe, nurturing, and sustainable orphanage in Haiti in her honor.
