Maybe I'd go to ancient India. There was a lot of warfare in the other ancient civilizations... not that there couldn't have been any in ancient India. But, we haven't learned about it yet. They also lived near very fertile regions, like the Sarasvati River before it dried up. They also had plenty of trade since they mostly lived in the same areas and lived in an area that was probably easy to travel due to the amount of resources and flatter land.

Katie,
You make some excellent points! We do need to use the term eco-friendly very lightly. One example is the toyota Prius. Although it is an electric car it still uses gasoline and the chemicals used to make the battery are very toxic and very environmentally un-friendly!

I think we can, but only if the term "eco-friendly" is used lightly. For example, solar energy STILL involves materials extracted from the earth(for making the panels themselves) but it isn't based on fossil fuels or limited energy. When we use water, we still use up some from the earth. However, we can control how much is used up. Factories that make bascially everything we own could use hydro-electric power. And think- what if we could make appliances run on harmful gases? Like, for instance, cars run on fossil fuels. Their emissions could power other devices!!!!! (That'd be so much better for the ozone layer!!)

Have they tried music and plants? sometimes plants grow better if they have calm music or nice sounds being played. If its heavy metal with tones of yelling, plants can die for no reason other than that.

Vice-president Don Quayle would obviouslt not win the geography bee.
