Looking for a Preschool program for your child?
Lottery Applications are now being accepted for the 2008-2009 school year.
We are looking for typically developing students to participate as peer role models in our half-day preschool program.
All applicants must be 3 years old by September 15, 2008. Program is held at Whiting Lane and Aiken Elementary Schools.

Discovery Project Looking for childcare or preschools?
The Early Learning Center (ELC), sponsored by the West Hartford Public Schools, offers a continuum of services to West Hartford preschoolers (ages 3-5), parents, and community preschools.
Services may include:
- consultation to parents and/or community-based preschools
- observations of preschoolers pertaining to one or more developmental areas of concern
- evaluations of preschoolers in one or more developmental areas of concern
- participation in the ELC program for eligible preschoolers and typically developing peer models
A referral to the Early Learning Center can be made if a child’s preschool teacher, pediatrician, or early childhood professional has raised concerns about one or more of the following areas:
- speech/language development
- fine/gross/sensorimotor development
- attention, focus, self-help skills
- cognitive/pre-readiness development
- social-emotional development/behavioral functioning
